In our method， fish larvae were reared in the harvest tank of the extensive continuous rotifer culturing system until 15 days after birth（DAB）．We compared the hours worked，1arval survival rates and larval growth with the control plot，and found the new method to result in shorter working hours and higher larval survival rate.  Additionally，the differences in total length（TL）at 15 DAB（1arger differences cause increased cannibalism）were smaller in the labor-saving method than in the control plot，although the mean TLs were similar.
