More than 80% of clams remained after the trial at stockades made of veliical poles spaced at 30 cm or less, cover net of 1.6 cm mesh, submergible floating exclusion net of 18 cm mesh, and submergible floating ropes crossed every 20 cm. Round stones of the same size as the clams showed no preventative effects.
