| 内容記述 | We conducted the acoustic survey to estimate the biomass of walleye pollock, Theraga chalcogramma , in the Bogoslof area in the Bering Sea in winter, 1999. The survey was conducted in two Leg between 30 January and 4 March. Acoustic data was collected continuously along a transect with KJ-2000 echo integration system (Kaijo Co.,). Dense pollock aggregations were observed near the Four Mountain Islands along the Aleutian Chains. Vertical distribution of most pollock ranged from 400m to 600m. Estimates in five different areas were made to describe biomass of walleye pollock from the differences of size and distribution. Area were divided as follows; east of 167W(Leg1-1) and west of 167W in Legl, east of 167W(Leg2-1), shore (Leg2-2) and offshore (Leg2-3) of west of 167W in Leg2. The estimated spawning biomass by each area were 6.7 thousand tons in Leg 1 - 1, 20.2 thousand tons in Leg1-2, 7.8 thousand tons in Leg2-1, 38.1 thousand tons in Leg2-2, and 1.6 thousand tons in Leg2-3. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
