| 内容記述 | Barfin flounder (Verasper moseri) is an important species for aquaculture in northern Japan due to its high comercial value. However, natural stock of barfin flounder had been decreased to a very low level. Several facilities pay effort to produce young of barfin flounder and release them to coastal areas around Hokkaido and the northest Honshu. Morever, field surveys have also been started to evaluate the effect of stock enhancement by the release of artificially produced youngs. In this review, we sorted out informations about young production and release of barfin flounder, then extracted serious problems to improve. There are three major problems. The first is complete prevention of infection of viral nervous necrosis which is prevalent in all production facilities for young of barfin flounder. The second is balanced sex ratio of produced young. Sex ratio of produced young of barfin flounder tends to be biased toward male by rearing over 14C. The third is reduction of mortality of released fish. Released fish appear to be preyed just after releasing. Improvement of these three problems promise a high profitable stock enhancement of barfin flounder in future. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
