| 内容記述 | Temporal change in temperature, salinity, and potential vorticity estimated from density gradient are investigated in the Oyashio southeast of Hokkaido Japan using the CTD data observed from May 1992 to May 1995. These water properties tend to be low in spring and summer rather than autumn and winter at the densities between 26.6 and 27.0og. We calculated salinity anomaly flux, which is exchanged salt of the Oyashio with the Okhotsk Sea on the assumption of constant salinity in the East Kamchatka Current flowing out from the Bering Sea. At the densities between 26.7 and 27.0, the salt flux anomaly is minimum in May implying the Oyashio lose much salt somewhere to reach the Hokkaido coast in May. It is suggested that the Oyashio Water is influenced once a year in a specified region in the intermediate layer not directly influenced by winter cooling. | |||||||||||||||||
