| 内容記述 | We examined changes in the adult stock abundance and gonadal maturity of walleye pollock, Theragra chalcogramma, distributed along the Pacific coast of eastern Hokkaido, from September 1990 to May 1994. The spawning stock size decreased from September through December or January, and increased after that. Most adult pollocks matured from September through January, February or March, and spawned after that. We inferred many adult pollocks migrated to the adjacent waters of Funka Bay, which is a major pollock spawning ground, and spawned in those waters. Some adult pollocks spawned along the Pacific coast of eastern Hokkaido. We found that the peak of spawning season along the Pacific coast of eastern Hokkaido was March, and that the spawning biomass might change annually. | |||||||||||||||||
