| 内容記述 | We examined changes in the gonadal maturity and fecundity of walleye pollock, Theragra chalcogramma, along the Pacific coast of southeastern Hokkaido, from September 1991 to August 1992. Monthly changes in apparent gonadal maturity and GSI (gonadosomatic index) value indicated that walleye pollock might spawn in the period from January through May. However, few spawning fish were found in this area. Fecundity ranged from 115,095 oocytes (body length : 384 mm) to 1,603,925 oocytes (body length : 609mm). Relationship between body length and fecundity is described by : F=1.78L4.25×10-6 (n =50, r =0.92) where F=fecundity in number of oocyte and L=body length in mm. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
