| 内容記述 | The effect of current system on the distribution of nutrient concentration was studied in the coastal area of eastern Hokkaido. In summer, nutrient concentrations were low above the picnocline due to the consumption by phytoplankton. In late autumn, nutrient concentrations were also low on the continental shelf when the Transformed Soya Warm Current Water (salinity > 33.5) prevailed. In February 1988, the coastal Oyashio Water (Oi Water: salinity < 33.0 and temperature < 1.0˚C) occupied the coastal area of eastern Hokkaido, which was characterized by low silicate concentration and low atomic ratio of silicate to phosphate (Si/P). In April to May 1989, nutrient concentrations on the continental shelf changed drastically with the fluctuation of the front structure between the Oi Water and the offshore Oyashio Water (the first branch of the Oyashio). These results indicate the importance of nutrient supply by the shift of the first branch of the Oyashio to the neritic water off eastern Hokkaido. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | 道東海域の栄養塩濃度の季節変化を明らかにするとともに,親潮第1分枝,道東沿岸流が道東沿岸域の栄養塩分布に及ぼす影響を海洋構造の変化との関連において解明することを目的とし,1987年11月から1989年5月にほぼ隔月間隔の調査を実施した.夏季の密度躍層上部では植物プランクトンによる消費により栄養塩濃度は低い。また,大陸棚海域では宗谷暖流変質水の出現する秋季にも低濃度となる.1988年2月には,道東沿岸の大陸棚海域から50km以上沖合にわたる広い範囲で南部オホーツク海からの流氷の影響を受けたSi/Pの低いOi水が分布していた.大陸棚海域における春季ブルーミング現象の基礎となる栄養塩の供給過程の中でも,栄養塩濃度の高い親潮水の挙動(親潮第1分枝の沿岸域への接岸)が重要な役割を果していることが推察された. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
