| 内容記述 | The distribution and biological characteristics of pomfret, Brama japonica HILGENDORF, in the Pacific Ocean off northern Japan were examined on the basis of the catch data and the biological measurement data obtained through the experimental drifting gillnet operations carried out in early summer (June) and in summer-autumn (August-November) seasons, 1979-1984. Pomfret was distributed relatively in abundance both in June and in October-November, which were regarded as the northward and southward migrating groups, respectively. Size compositions of pomfret taken showed either of bimodal or monomodal forms with two well-separated modes at 200mm (small-sized fish) and / or 420-440mm (large-sized fish) in fork length. The monthly and sex-separated size compositions of foregoing large-sized fish showed that males were generally larger than females in average length with slightly upper limits of length class. As far as the specimens collected in June, 1980-1984, were concerned, large-sized pomfret was distributed more widely than small one to the waters with lower surface water temperature and lower salinity. The ovarian maturity was the lowest in August, but progressed quite rapidly through October into November. Some clear differences in stomach contents were recognized between the large and small-sized pomfret. Large-sized fish fed mainly on fishes and squids, especially on Japanese sardine, Sardinops melanosticta (TEMMINCK et SCHLEGEL), in the latest few years, while small-sized one fed chiefly on euphausiids and squids. | |||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | 1. 1979~1984年の6~11月の三陸~道東海域での,流し網によるエチオピアの採集資料と測定資料を用いて,分布,体長組成,成熟状態,胃内容組成について検討した。2. 6月および10·11月には,相対的に高い密度でエチオピアが分布し,それぞれ北上群,南下群に相当すると考えられた。3. 採集したエチオピアの尾又長組成には2つのモードが認められた。第一のモードは200mm(小型魚),第二のモードは420~440mm(大型魚)で,小型魚は6月にのみ出現した。4. エチオピアの大型魚の雄の平均尾叉長は,調査期間を通じて,雌のそれよりも常に大きい値を示した。5. 6月には,エチオピアの大型魚は小型魚に比べ,より低温分域まで分布した。特に,表面水温17℃で両者の主要な分布域は明確に区分された。6. エチオビアの大型魚の雄では生殖腺重量指数は,6月で0.7~1.5,11月で1.0~2.0の範囲であった。調査個体数は少ないが,8月に最低となり,10,11月の時期に急速に高くなる傾向が伺われた。7. エチオピアの胃内容物は,大型魚では魚類,イカ類が主体で,最近ではマイワシの出現が顕著であった。小型魚ではオキアミ類,イカ類が主体であった。8. エチオピアの漁業生物学的研究における今後の課題として,年齢形質の選定に基づく年齢査定法の確立が急がれる。また,エチオピアは成長段階によって分布·回遊が異なることも考えられ,その検証には調査規模の抜本的拡大と併せて標識放流調査の積極的な推進が必要であろう。 | |||||||||||||||||
