| 内容記述 | In this paper, changes in osmotic pressure, and Na of blood plasma were measured on various size of juvenile chum salmon (Oncorhynchus keta) after being transferred from fresh water to sea water and from sea water to fresh water. On direct transfer from fresh water to sea water, osmotic pressure of the plasma of chum salmon increased for a short time, but degree of this change is rather small regardless of the fish size. On direct transfer from sea water to fresh water, plasma osmotic pressure and plasma Na concentration of chum salmon changed drastically, including remarkable drop just after the transfer, slight recovery, secondary drop and recovery to final level. These changes differed depending on the stage of growth fish. These results show that tolerance to sea water does not change with the size of juvenile chum salmon, whereas tolerance to fresh water after being acclimatized to sea water changes with the size of chum salmon. Small salmon tolerated the salinity change much better than large fish. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
