| 内容記述 | We examined the intestine contents of saury caught in the southeast waters of the Kuril Islands in July 1977 and 1978 and early August 1979. At the same time, we studied the vertical daily migration of zooplankton, especially each copepodite stage of Calanus Plumchrus which is the most important food for the saury during this season. The following results were obtained. The main proportion of the eaten organisms, found in the intestine of the saury caught in the Oyashio waters from July to early August, consisted of Calanus plumchrus in the fourth and fifth copepodite stages. A very small number of other species were also found: Calanus plumchrus in the third copepodite stage, Parathemisto sp., Amphipoda young stage, Euphausiacea young stage, Calanus pacificus, Pseudocalanus spp., Limacina sp. and Calanus cristatus. Vertical daily migration of Calanus plumchrus in the second to fifth copepodite stages was mainly observed in waters above 30m. Contrary to this distribution for the young stages, the sixth copepodite stage grown to the adult was always distributed in waters below 200m. From the present study of both the intestine contents of the saury and the vertical daily migration of the various zooplankton, we estimated the feeding zone of the saury to be above 20m. Not only Calanus plumchrus in the fourth and fifth copepodite stages, but also in the second and third stages and other species were found in this zone. It may be concluded that the saury shows preferences in the organisms it feeds on. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | 1977·1978年7月と1979年8月上旬に千島列島南東水域で採集したサンマの消化管内容物と MTDネットで同時採集した動物プランクトンの昼夜による垂直移動を考察し,さらに,この時期のサンマにとって,最も重要な餌となっている Calanus plumchrusの生活を明らかにする研究の一環として,Calanus plumchrus の発育段階別の垂直分布と昼夜移動について,若干の分析を試み,次のような結果を得た。(1) 親潮水域内で7月から8月上旬に採集したサンマの消化管内にみられた主要な餌料生物は Calanus plumchrus の copepodite Ⅳ期とⅤ期の個体であった。その他に Calanus plumchrus の copepodite III, Parathemisto sp., Amphipoda young stage, Pseudocalanus spp., Limacina sp., Calanus cristatus 等が少数個体みられた。(2) Calanus plumchrus のcopepodite II~V期の昼夜による垂直移動は,大多数の個体は水深30m以浅で行なわれ,40m以深に分布する個体はごく少数であった。成体に達した copepodite VI期では,copepodite Ⅱ~V期の分布とは著しく異なり,いずれの時間帯も水深200m以深に分布していた。(3) 観察したサンマの消化管内容物と動物プランクトンの垂直移動との考察結果から,サンマの摂餌水深は20m以浅であると推定された。しかし,この水深帯には Calanus plumchrus の copepodite Ⅳ・V期だけでなく,copepodite II・Ⅲ期の個体やその他の種も分布しており,サンマの餌料の選択性を示唆する結果が得られた。 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
