| 内容記述 | To accelerate the mass production of small benthic diatoms for feeding juvenile abalones and others, a trial was performed by mixing crushed agar-gel in culture media with aeration. A greater quantity of diatom cells was grown by this method making the peak of growth in several days. Sterilization at the beginning was important when gelled agar was put in culture media, and the media with 20-30% (w/w) agar granules were thought to be the best for making rapid growth of diatoms. The transplantation of cultured diatoms onto plastic wave-like plates was easily done with a 2 ton tank, and a sufficient quantity of small diatoms adhered to the plastic plates in a week. | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | アワビ類などの初期稚貝の餌料である小型の付着性珪藻の大量培養を図るため,培養液に寒天ゲル粒子を混合して攪拌する培養法を試みて,次のような知見をえた。1. 寒天混合区では非混合区よりずっと早く増殖のピークに達し,えられた珪藻量が大きかった。2. 混合する寒天ゲルは,重量比で20~30%の混合が最良であった。寒天はまたバクテリアの繁殖をも促すので,十分滅菌して使用する必要がある。3. 寒天混合通気培養から採苗用波板上への展開は簡単で,移植後1週間で稚貝の付着に適した状態となった。 | |||||||||||
