| 内容記述 | Three new diatoms in Thalassiosiraceae are described. As they are very small in size, electron microscopes are necessary for precise identification. Minidiscus comicus sp. nov. is distinguished from the type species of the genus, M. trioculatus, by having a large labiate process neighbouring the central areola and no strutted process near the valve center. Thalassiosira spinulata sp. nov. is characterized by its small size, minute spinules densely covering the external valve, and the location of the labiate process adjacent to the valve center. Thalassiosira curviseriata sp. nov. is distinctive by its curved chains of cells, the eccentrically shifted structural center of the valve, and the form of wings attached to the marginal strutted processes. All of them were found recently in eutrophic coastal waters in Japan. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 小型の珪藻は富栄養水域の海岸に多く出現し,赤潮をつくることもあるが,これまで多くが見落されたり,種名不詳で記録されなかったと思われる。電子顕微鏡の使用により,径10μm 以下の小型種の形態が次第に明らかにされている。本論文には,近年日本沿岸の内湾域から発見した,タラシオシーラ科の3新種を記述する。1. Minidiscus comicus sp. nov. 直径1.9~7.0μmで,約3.3μm以上の大型のものは円盤形であるが,小型のものは蓋殻が円く隆起し,帯面は楕円形を呈する。蓋殻面には3~7本の輪状に並ぶ有基突起と,中心付近に大きな唇状突起が1本あり,外面に管状に突出するものもある。これまでこの属はM.trioculatus 1種だけであったが,これは中心の付近に小さな唇状突起があり,有基突起のうちの1本が中心近くにあること,また,蓋殻の縁辺部はTEMでみると広い透明帯であることにより,本種と異なっている。M. comicus は,1980年9月に東京港内で増殖して赤潮をつくった。隅田川河口域のほか,渥美湾にもみられる。2. Thalassiosira spinulata sp. nov. 直径2.5~5.0μm,中心小室をはさんで両側に1本の有基突起と1本の唇状突起があり,殻頂縁には4~6本の有基突起が1輪をなす。殻頂面は平らで,殻套部も低いが,蓋殻外面にY字形の小突起が多数あるのが特徴である。隅田川河口域のほか,各地の内湾でもよく出現をみる。これまで命名された Thalassiosira属の小型種はみな唇状突起を殻頂縁にもっているが,中心近くにこれをもつのも本種の特徴の1つである。3. Thalassiosira curviseriata sp. nov. 本種の群体は,回旋が著しい。直径7.8~14.5μmで,殻頂面に1または2本の中心有基突起があるが,蓋殻の中心から多かれ少なかれ離れており,小室列もこの部分を起点として放射している。縁辺には5~12本の有基突起と1本の唇状突起があるが,縁辺の有基突起は両翼をもち,その形は T. tealata TAEANO のものとは異なり,翼の先端が2ー3枝に分れていることが多い。殻頂面の構造の中心が1方にずれていることと,縁辺有基突起の翼の形が本種の主要な特徴である。今のところ,香川県屋島のほか,洞海湾と渥美湾に本種の出現を確認している。 | |||||
