内容記述タイプ Abstract
内容記述 The sponges dealt with in this paper were obtained by Messrs. T. Hide and H. Sato of the Tokushima Museum in 1964 and 1966 from along the coast of Tokushima Prefecture. All of the specimens are deposited in the Tokushima Museum in dry state. The collection is of special interest, owing to that nothing had been known of the sponge-fauna of Tokushima Prefecture and this is the first record from this locality. The number of species represented in the collection is 17 belonging to 13 genera, among which one species is described as new to science. Table 1 is the list of the species discriminated in the collection. Lissoplocamia tokushima, n. sp. (Pl. I, fig. 6, Pl. II, fig, 7. Text-fig. 1) This new species is represented by two specimens. The larger one (Pl. II, fig. 7) chosen as the type of this species is erect, consisting of two subcylindrical branches, fused at the basal part, each of them branch off dichotomously and terminate bluntly, and measures 133 mm in total height. The diameter of the branches average about 7 mm. Surface of the body is uneven, and a little rough to the touch. Oscula very small and inconspicuous. Color dirty brown in dry state, consistency firm and compact. The skeleton consists of a stout reticulation of spongin fibers, cored by the dumb-bell shaped tylotes, which are in most places arranged mono- or biserially. From the dermally placed nodes of the meshes, styles and rhaphides project perpendicularly outwards. Toxas and isochelas scattered in the choanosomes among the megascleres. Spicules (Text-fig. 1) : - a. Megascleres: 1. Tylotes (a) straight or slightly curved, with stout thick heads at both ends, measuring 180~230x17~22μ. 2. Styles (b) slightly curved, longer and thicker than the tylotes, measuring 280~450 x 20~30μ. 3. Rhaphides (c) straight, very slender, aboundant in the dermal parts, 200~280x2~3μ. b. Microscleres : 1. Toxas (d) of usual form, 65~70μ in length. 2. Isochelas (e) palmate, about 22μ long.
