内容記述 | The cultural condition of the parsitic fungus which has caused considerable damage to the Nori product as the pythium red rot called "Akagusare" of Porphyra was made clear by Sasaki and Sato (1969), and the same strain was described as a new species Pythium porphyrae by Takahashi et al. (1970). Among the five strains collected from the different Nori cultivated field where the disease has been observed frequently, the growth rate of the hyphae and the appearance of the reproductive organs were compared in the same cultural condition in this report. The results are summarized as follows. 1) Miyako and Shiogama strain could grow under a wide range of cultural temperature between 10 and 32˚C and the Matsukawaura, Mikawa and Ariake strains show growth only in a narrow range between 15 and 25˚C. 2) Miyako and Shiogama strain could grow under a wide range of the salinity between 0 and 50% and the Matsukawaura, Mikawa and Ariake strains show growth only in a narrow range between 10 and 30%. 3) Every strain except the Matsukawaura strain showed good growth in the cultural medium controlled between pH 6.5 and 10.5 and the Matsukawaura strain could grow in the range between 6.5 and 8.5. 4) There was not so much difference in the morphological features among the five strains except that the tube of vesicle in the Miyako and Shiogama strains was longer and more slenber than that of the other three strains. 5) According to the results of this experience, the five strains collected from different districts could be separeted into two types as follows; a) The hyphae can grow rapidly in a wide range of cultural condition, the Miyako and Shiogama strains belonging to this type b) The sexual organs could be made quickly, the Matsukawaura, Mikawa ane Ariake strains belonging to this type. | |||||||||
