| 内容記述 | A total of 800 individuals of sakhalin surf-clams Spisula sachaliensis, 2-3 years old, brought in from Fukushima pref. were marked and released at 4 stations within clam bed in Hirota Bay, Iwate pref., Some of them were recaptured one year or later from 3 stations of St. 1, St. 2 and St. 4, and used to estimate the environmental fittness of the places by the shell growth. Considerable differences were seen in growth ratio between the clams recaptured from St. 1 or St. 2 and that from St. 4. Standard deviation in growth ratio of the clams from St. 1 is one third times as large as that from St. 2. These support the inference that the second district has an environmental condition more suitable for the clams out of three districts into which sandy bottom area was divided by benthic fauna, and also shows that environmental condition is not necessarily unform within a district. | |||||||||||||
