| 内容記述 | The ishikawa icefish, Salangichthys ishikawae, is an important species in the coastal fishery along the Pacific coast of Aomori Prefecture. Growth, spawning season and standing stock size of S. ishikawae was examined by monthly surveys using a small trawl net from December 1991 to December 1992 and catch statistics of the coastal fishery surveyed. Growth curves were different between sexes, with the maximum length of females in May larger than that of males. The spawning season occurred from April to May, as evidenced from the maturation of ovaries and the occurrence of larvae. Almost all adults appeared to die off in June. The ratio of body weight to body length from February to May was larger than that from September to January because of the increase in the female gonadal weight and male body height after February. We estimated the monthly standing stock sizes of S. ishikawae along the Pacific coast of Aomori Prefecture by using mortality and catch statistics from the survey and from the coastal fishery. The estimated recruitment to the fishery as standing stock size at November was larger in 1992 than in 1991. | |||||||||||||||||
