| 内容記述 | In order to manage the fish resources in the Japanese Economic Zone (EZ), under the 200 miles law, it is required to estimate the Allowable Biological Catch (ABC) as a new program. To do this, some discussion on the method to estimate the ABC is necessary from my experiences at the first resources appreciation meeting in 1996. In this report, the following three topics are discussed; 1. Definition of ABC on the naturally variable resources such as some small pelagic fishes 2. Reasons for the characteristic of natural mortality coefficient (M) being stable through ages and common relation among many species by their life span. 3. Appreciation of the condition of F=M as the Bilogical Reference Point (BRP) | |||||||
