| 内容記述 | Diurnal vertical migration of sardine larvae was investigated on 28 February 1994 at the Kuroshio front. Samples were collected using MTD horizontal-closing nets. The sampling depths of these nets were 0 m, 10 m, 30 m, 50 m and 100 m respectively. Sardine larvae were distributed in all the layers during the day. In the daytime larvae were abundant in the upper layers (0 m, 10 m) and in the nighttime they were abundant in the middle layers (30 m, 50 m). These results indicate sardine larvae do undergo diurnal vertical migrations. The reasons why they show diurnal vertical migration are discussed. | |||||||||||
