内容記述 | Comparison was made by feeding krill meal, casein-gelatin and fish meal as a protein source, tallow and feed oil as a fat source, and glucose and dextrin as a carbohydrate source to fingerling chum salmon for 6 weeks at two water temperatures (7-8 °C and 15°C) to formulate a better practical diet. Effects of previous dietary histroy were also tested by feeding a frozen mysis to fish which had been raised with the krill meal, casein-gelatin and fish meal diets. At both high and low water temperatures, growth, feed consumption and fat content in the whole body of fish fed the diet with krill meal increased as krill meal level in the diets decreasing from 50 to 10% (isonitrogenously substituting fish meal). Grwoth rate of fish from the diet with only 10% krill meal was still significantly poorer than that of control group fed the diet with 58.5% fish meal, 3.6% feed oil, 5.0% tallow and 12.0% dextrin. Fish fed casein-gelatin diet with supplemental amino acids had the best growth response in all treatments at 15°C, but it was significantly poorer than that of the control at 7-8°C. Supplemental tallow up to 5 % level was utilized as well as feed oil even at 7-8°C. Whereas, utilization of glucose was poorer than that of dextrin at either 7-8°C or 15°C. Fish raised with the casein-gelatin diet showed poor growth and feed efficiency when feed was switched to frozen mysis. However, no difference was observed between fish raised with the 40% krill meal and control diets. These results indicate that fish meal is better than krill meal as a protein source and tallow can be used as a fat source up to 5% even at 7°C, but glucose may not be a good carbohydrate source for fingerling chum salmon. It may not be necessary to feed a diet with high chitin content like krill meal before releasing. | |||||||||||||||
