内容記述 | Using L-type (a strain) rotifer, Brachionus plicatilis with initial size of 263.2± 14.4 µ in lorica length and 169.7±9.7 µ in width, influence of various feeds on the size and shape was examined to obtain the basic information for genetic improvement of the rotifers as feed for fish larvae. The feeds used were baker's yeast (A), a combination of baker's yeast and formula feeds for prawn (B), Soy lees (C), and new kind of yeast (ω-Yeast) (D) for three months experiments in four outdoor 40 ton tanks. Rotifers were also cultured with a combination of baker's yeast and ω-Yeast (E), and baker's yeast alone (F) in two outdoor 200 ton tanks for two months. The size of rotifers were influenced by feeding various feeds and the order of the size was D>B>A>C. The rotifers in tank D were 2.3~7.9% (avg. 4.5%) longer, 3.4~ 10.5% (avg. 6.0%) wider, 6.9~19.3% (avg. 11.5%) larger in practical size (length × width), and 10.6~30.2% (avg. 23.9%) heavier than those in tank A. Rotifers in tank B was the intermediate size between A and D. The size of rotifers in tank E was 4.1~7.1% (avg. 5.6%) longer than those in tank F. Thus, ω-Yeast or the baker's yeast supplemented with ω-Yeast and formula feeds stimulated for rotifers to be larger than those cultured with baker's yeast alone. No consistent difference in diameter of egg and appearance rate of females with eggs were noted among the rotifers fed with the various feeds. L-type did not change to other forms in all the tanks with various feeds during the experiments, therefore, L-type was considered to be a distinctly genetic strain, and the change in size of rotifers might be a phenomenon of polymorphosis in the strain. | |||||||||

内容記述 | シオミズツボワムシの変異に関する研究の一環として,培養餌料の相違がワムシの大きさや形状におよぼす影響を調べた。(1)供試したワムシはL型(背甲長263.2±14.4μ,甲幅169.7±9.7μ)である。(2) 培養餌料にはパン酵母(A),パン酵母+クルマエビ用配合飼料(B),醬油粕(C),油脂酵母(D)を用いた。(3) ワムシの大きさにはD区>B区>A区>C区の順向がみられ,D区のワムシはA区にくらべて背甲長が2.3~7.9%(平均4.5%)長く,実際の大きさでは6.9~19.3%(平均11.5%),重量では10.6~30.2%(平均23.9%)の差が推定された。(4) 卵径の大きさと抱卵率には各給餌区間の規則的な相違はなかった。そのため,ふ化直後の仔虫の大きさに差異がなく,抱卵個体の大きさにのみ差が生じることがうかがわれた。(5) L型ワムシはS型とは遺伝的に異る系統群であると考えられ,餌料の相違による大きさの差異は系統内の形態変異であるといえる。 | |||||||||
