| 内容記述 | Protein binding states of zinc, cadmium and magnesium in serum of coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) were studied in vitro. In the non-treated serum, the major zinc-binding protein was detected in the third fraction of the elution profile by 280 nm absorption of gel filtration on Sephadex G-200, and the minor one in the second fraction of the higher molecular region. Magnesium was detected in the total bed volume (Kav=1) at free state. Cadmium was not detected. When 25, 50 or 100 μg ZnCl₂ was added to 1 ml of serum, zinc content of the third fraction alone increased. However, by the addition of 200 μg ZnCl₂ per ml serum, zinc was detected both in the third fraction and total bed volume. When 25 μg CdCl₂·2 1/2H₂O per ml serum was added, cadmium was detected in the third fraction. By the addition of 50 μg CdCl₂· 2 1/2 H₂O per ml serum, however, cadmium was detected both in the third fraction and total bed volume. The cadmium-binding protein was found in the slightly lower molecular region than the zinc-binding protein. When ZnCl₂ and CdCl₂·2 1/2 H₂O were added sufficiently, zinc was totally found in the third fraction, and cadmium was detected in the total bed volume at free state. Thus, protein binding ability of zinc is considered to be stronger than that of cadmium in the serum of coho salmon. | |||||
