| 内容記述 | Female amago salmon, Oncorhynchus rhodurus, normally mature in the second year, spawn in autumn and die thereafter. The present study is the first report which have showed high incidence (about 32%) of precocious maturity of female of yearling amago salmon. These adult female (33.2~142.4 g in body weight) spawned 110~635 eggs per fish. They were smoller in size (3.47~4.45 mm) and weight (23~48 mg/egg) when compared with those spawned by two-year-old fish. The maturation was probably accelerated by the unusual change in water temperature from 12℃ (summer) to 17°C (winter) in the pond and the early feeding which started as soon as flies showed eating activities while they were laid down with yolk-sacs on the bottom of the aquarium. | |||||||||
