| 内容記述 | Survivals of fish pathogenic bacteria in differently treated seawaters were studied. Culture of Vibrio anguillarum, Streptococcus sp., Edwardsiella tarda, Pasteurella piscicida, and Nocardia kampachi were inoculated into untreated seawater, autoclaved seawater, and filtered seawaters which were passed through membranes with 5.0, 1.2, 0.45, and 0.22 µm pore size. After inoculation viable cell numbers of bacteria were determined by the spread plating method at 24 h intervals during the incubation for 2 weeks at 20℃. V. anguillarum, Streptococcus sp., E. tarda, and P. piscicida showed lower survival rates in untreated seawater than in autoclaved and 0.22 µm filtered seawaters. Higher survival rates of these four bacteria were observed in seawater filtered through smaller pore size. The survival of N. kampachi was not different among untreated and filtered seawaters. These results indicate that biological factors as well as physicochemical factors strongly affect the survival of fish pathogenic bacteria in seawater. | |||||||
