| 内容記述 | Diploidization of gynogenetically activated eggs was attempted by suppression of the 2nd or the 3rd cleavage in the goldfish, Carassius auratus. Heat shock (40℃, 1 minute) was applied to eggs fertilized with UV-irradiated sperm of common carp at 5-minute intervals from 5 to 90 minutes after fertilization at 20°C. Normal looking diploid fry were encountered when shocks were initiated 5, 25, 35-50, 65-70, or 80-90 minutes after fertilization respectively. Histological observation suggests that diploidization was accomplished by suppression of 2nd meiosis, 1st, 2nd or 3rd mitosis respectively. It was found that prometaphase is a more suitable stage than metaphase for the suppression of mitosis by heat shock. | |||||||||||
