| 内容記述 | Low genetic variance was estimated in the heel depth of shell (thickness) at the age of 3 years in the Japanese pearl oyster, Pinctada fucata martensii. The data from nine families of factorial matings (4 females × 3 males) were analyzed by the least-squares analysis of variance. The parents used were the first generation of wild population of Kochi which was raised in Ago Bay of Mie. The offsprings were reared by the ordinary method at Ago or Gokasho Bay of Mie. F-value in the analysis of sire component of ANOVA suggested lower genetic variation in this trait compared with those of other traits such as shell width, shell height, hinge line length or shell weight which were also measured and analyzed. | |||||||||
