| 内容記述 | Larval stages of the spionid polychaete Paraprionospio sp. (form B) are described based on specimens obtained in the plankton from Omura Bay. As the number of segments increases, adult characteristics such as palps, branchiae, parapodial lamellae and four types of adult setae appear progressively. Settlement was observed in a 37-segmented larva with a length of 4.37 mm, which had cast off its larval setae. Morphological characteristics and the size at settlement are similar to Paraprionospio sp. (form A), but pigmentation on the lateral lips are not found in form B larvae. | |||||||

| 内容記述 | スピオ科の多毛類ヨツバネスピオ(B型)に属すると思われる幼生が大村湾のプランクトン中に見いだされ,そのうちの1個体が飼育容器内で着底したので,浮遊幼生と着底した個体の形態を記載した。体節数が加わるにつれ,成体の形質(副感触手,鰓,足葉,4種類の剛毛)が徐々に発現し,幼生剛毛の脱落後,着底する。幼生の形態および着底時のサイズ(体節数 37,体長4.37mm)はヨツバネスピオ(A型)幼生とよく似ているが,口両側部の肉質突起(lateral lips)背面に赤色色素斑がないことで区別される。 | |||||||
