| 内容記述 | In the previous paper, simple series solutions were produced for the problem of internal seiche in a two-dimensional basin with two stratified fluid where the bottom slope is linear. The numerical solutions indicated the following iteme: 1) if the bottom slope is zero, we will deduce characteristics of the interfacial seiche from that of the surface waves. 2) the frequency σᴍ of the Mth mode will not become M times that of the first mode. 3) in region of the shallower depth, interfacial seiche will induce bottom sediment motion. The purpose of this research is twofold: 1) to compare the results of the experiment with the series solutions. 2) to find the low of similitude for the interfacial long waves. Comparision the experiments and the solutions are shown at Figs. 3~5 for the frequency of the seiche mode, Figs. 7~8 for the velocity and wave height at interface. The solutions are in satisfactory agreement with the results of the experiments except that αl/h₀ is unit. The low of similitude for the interfacial long waves is equation (1) which driven from the basic equation (A-5). | |||||
