| 内容記述 | The mechanism of sea water exchange and variation of oceanographic conditions were investigated in eastern basin of Lake Saroma in 1980 and 1981, in the summer periods when the sea water is stratified. The results were as follows: (1) Water temperature and salinity vary with tide stages such as spring tides and neap tides, and furthermore, are influenced by wind stress. (2) The current velocity in the short-cut new water channel can be estimated by water level difference between the lake and the open sea. (3) The mechanism of sea water exchange in the vicinity of the new water channel is distinguished between flood current period and ebb current period; open sea water flowing into the lake during flood period intrudes under middle layer, and entrains upper layer water. In the following ebb period, the less dense water in the upper layer uniformly flows out of the lake. And, wind stress plays an important role in the sea water exchange. (4) Sea water exchange ratio between the lake and the open sea is about 0.1-0.2. (5) After construction of the new water channel, scallop's larvae have been increasing in lake Saroma. On the other hand, scallop's larvae disperse to a greater exlent by the increased ratio of sea water exchange. Consequently, when larval period is prolonged, scallop's larvae fouling may decrease. | |||||
