| 内容記述 | Field data on bottom layer flow were obtained for a period of about four years off Kuji in Ibaraki prefecture in Japan. The observation point was 140°42.78'E, 36°27. 95'N, 8. 6km off the mouth of Kuji river and the depth was 40m. A current meter with sensors of temperature and conductivity was placed 2m above the bottom with mooring. The sampling intervals were five minutes, and the instrument was recovered and newly set up every month. In this paper, the characteristics of the velocity are considered as follows: (1) The maximum velocity was observed when the typhoon or depression was passing, and the maximum value was 94cm/s in raw data, 47cm/s in hourly averaged data. (2) The frequency of the velocity 15cm/s or below accounted for about 90% and that of 5-10cm/s about 50%. These results are useful for designing submarine structures such as artificial reefs. | |||||||
