内容記述 | Field research of bottom material and benthos was conducted at off skore surf zone at Hasaki beach in Ibaragi prefecture in 1984. Samples of bottom material were dredged with S.M sampler for analysis of granule size, rate of silt, ignition loss and composition of benthos. At the same time, stratum echo sounder measurement was done in the same research area to judge relations between results of analysis of bottom materials and response of the surface layer of the bottom. Fine sand zone covered great part of the bottom area less than 30 meters deep. It seemed that response of echo sounder made it possible to presume bottom material i. e. fine sand, granule and silt (more than 50%). Macro benthos was composed of crustacea, vivalves, polychaeta and sipunculoidea, while megaro benthos consisted of crustacea, vivalves and echinodermata. The Number of samples of the former was much greater than that of the latter because of the difference of sampling efficiency between them. The macro benthos of which species was the most was polychaeta, and of which biomass was the most was vivalves. The distribution of each macro benthos seemed to be restricted by conditions of bottom material. | |||||||||||||
