| 内容記述 | The wave-dissipating structure called a "Remote Absorber" is a permeable mound made of precast conrcete armour blocks that are separated from the main body of breakwater. When the remote absorber comprises the first stage of construction, it is easy to install a concrete caisson behind the absorber in a wavy sea. The authors reported that remote absorbers are effective in reducing overtopping. But the action of wave forces throughout the remote absorber against the main body is not get clear. The wave channel model test indicated that very powerful wave forces act on the breakwater when the distance, l, between the absorber and the main body is too short, or the heigt of the absorber above sea level, hc, is too low. To diminish the wave force, 0.1 times the wave length as the distance, l, and 0.7 H1/3 as the height, hc, were required. | |||||
