| 内容記述 | On-offshore distributions and seasonal change in phytoplankton biomass were researched regarding an exposed sandy beach during 1992. Seawater was sampled along the pier, Hasaki Oceanographical Research Facility. Chlorophyll a was measured and phytoplankton flora was observed. Concentration of chlorophyll a varied to the highest degree between 2 and 20 μg/l and were higher near the shore than offshore in almost all cases. Daily change in chlorophyll a was remarkable. Coastal diatoms were dominant during this period. Especially, concentration of chlorophyll a was very high and often over 20 μg/l in April-May and November-December. The former is that to be due to the spring phytoplankton bloom, and the latter may be the accumulation of phytoplankton at the shoreline by high waves. | |||||
