| 内容記述 | A system was developed in order to observe a ship drift continuously with a commercial ship. This ship ordinary plies by five days between the main Okinawa Island and the Daito Islands where site 380 km distant east from the main Okinawa Island. This system was assembled by a GPS (Global Positioning System), a gyro compass (ship direction) and an electomagnetic ship speed logger. Observation has been carried out since November 1994, to understand the characteristics of both mean flow field conditions and its temporal variations east of the main Okinawa Island. As the drift data obtained by this system have been essentially biased by the effects of both wind waves and wind-driven lateral drift of the ship, a table to modify the ship drift data was made reducing above effects. As a result, it was shown that 1) the data corrected by forecasted wind speed mostly corresponded to ADCP data obtained by another observations, 2) for the mean flow field, northeastward flow (0.3 knots) was dominant near the main Okinawa Island, however near the Daitoh Islands southwestward flow (0.2 knots) was dominant, 3) mean flow which was obtained on the whole area was northeastward (0.1 knots), 4) several eddies moved slowly on the observational line ranged from 0.06 to 0.15 knots in westward propagation velocity. Above results denote that the flow east of the main Okinawa Island have the important role to the subtropical circulation. | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | 沖縄島東方での海況の把握を目的として,沖縄島(那覇)一南·北大東島間を運航する定期船に GPS,ジャイロコンバス,対水船速ロガーを用いた偏流計測システムを設置し,海況変動モニタリングを実施した.偏流値は,風および波浪の影響を除去するための補正値を作成した上で補正を施し解析に用いた.この観測結果(観測期間:1年4カ月)をもとに,観測例の少なかった沖縄島東方海域での海況,中でも平均的な流況ならびに中短期的な変動傾向に関しての考察を行った.その結果,1)補正を施した偏流値は ADCPによる観測値と概ね一致すること,2)沖縄島一南·北大東島のほぼ中間を境界として,沖縄島よりでは平均0.3ノットの北東流,反対に大東島よりでは0.2ノットの南西流を示すこと,3)観測域全体では北東方向に0.1ノットの流れを示すこと,4)渦様の流況が数回認められ,これらのパターンの西方向への伝幡速度は0.06~0.15ノットであることが分かった. | |||||||||||
