内容記述 Eggs of the Japanese sardine, Sardinops melanostictus, collected from adjoining areas of Nagasaki Harbor, were incubated from Ab-Ac stage at four temperatures and seven salinities. The total and viable hatching rates at 17.3 and 21.0℃ were high, over 90%, except for a group at 17.3℃ which showed slightly lower values. The total and viable hatching rates, survival rate at first-feeding stage and rate of first-feeding success at 23.5℃ were lower than at 17.3 and 21.0°C. At 26.7℃, the total hatching rates were very low (20 and 28%) and no normally hatched larvae and no feeding ones were observed. At salinities of 26.1, 30.5, 34.9 and 39.6, the total and viable hatching rates were high, mostly over 90%. At salinities of 44.3 and 53.8, these rates were slightly lower (above 70.6%), but the viable hatching rates at a salinity of 17.4 were considerably lower, 10 and 32%. The survival rate at first-feeding stage and rate of first-feeding success at salinities of 17.4, 44.3 and 53.8 were lower than the salinity range from 26.1 to 39.6. Sardine eggs collected from near Tanegashima Island were incubated at two different temperature ranges on the research vessel. The total and viable hatching rates at the range 16.2~17.6℃ incubated from the Ba stage did not differ from the range at 21.1~22.1°C. The viable hatching rates of eggs incubated from the morula stage were lower than from the Ba stage.
