内容記述 | Age and growth of the Japanese Spanish mackerel Scomberomorus niphonius were examined based on the analysis of otoliths from 3319 fish caught in the East China Sea and in the Yellow Sea during the period of 1980 to 1989. Prior to the analysis the otoliths were burned to facilitate reading its rings. As a total 2249 otoliths were examined, excluding those with unclear rings. On each otolith the radii were measured from the nucleus to the outer edge of the opaque zones. The rate of marginal increment of the otolith was observed to be minimum during June and July. Since the opaque edge is considered to be formed during this period, it was assumed as annual ring. Judging from the seasonal change of the gonad index, spawning peak was considered to be in June. Age and specific mean fork length of males and females were plotted on the Walford graph. The linear relationship was seen in both sexes and the following von Bertalanffy growth equations were established. Female; Lt = 1021.91 (1 - e⁻⁰·²⁶⁽ ͭ ⁻ ⁰·⁷⁰⁾) Male; Lt = 735.62 (1 - e⁻⁰·⁴²⁽ ͭ ⁺ ⁰·⁶⁰⁾) Female + Male; Lt = 861.23(1 - e⁻⁰·³³⁽ ͭ ⁺ ⁰·⁶⁶⁾) where t and Lt indicate age and the theoretical fork length at t years old, respectively. Differences in the growth between sexes was not clear for fishes at one-year-old. The difference became apparent for fishes older than two-years-old. The female grew up faster than the male did. Sex ratio (female : male) was 1 : 1 for one-year-old fishes and younger group, but the ratio changed with the increase of age due to the higher mortality of the males. | |||||

内容記述 | 1980年から1989年までの間に,東シナ海と韓国南西沿岸域で大中型まき網等により漁獲されたサワラ3,319個体の耳石を加熱処理した.加熱処理すると,未処理のものに比べ,輪紋がより明瞭となった.比較的輪紋が明瞭な2,249個の耳石の年齢を査定した.年齢の標示を,不透明帯の縁辺部と規定した.縁辺成長率の季節変化から不透明帯の外縁辺部形成期を6,7月と考えた.一方,成熟度指数の月変化から産卵盛期は5,6月頃と推定した.Walford の定差図によって検討した結果,雌雄のいずれの輪群とも輪紋形成には周期性が認められた.成長式は雌雄別と雌雄込みでvon Bertalanffy の式による成長式を求めた.その結果は次式で示される.Lt=1021.91 (1 - e⁻⁰·²⁶⁽ ͭ ⁺ ⁰·⁷⁰⁾) Lt=735.62 (1 - e⁻⁰·⁴²⁽ ͭ ⁺ ⁰·⁶⁰⁾) 雌雄込み Lt=861.23(1 - e⁻⁰·³³⁽ ͭ ⁺ ⁰·⁶⁶⁾) ただし,Lt: t歳時の尾叉長,t:年齢 1歳時の大きさには雌雄差はないが,2歳以上では雌は雄に比べ成長が早い.雌雄ともに2歳魚でほとんど成熟する.性比は1歳魚までほぼ0.5であるが2歳魚以上では,雌の割合が増加する.雄は2歳を越えると生き残りが雌に比べ悪い. | |||||
