| 内容記述 | Recent advances in genotyping and sequencing technology facilitate handling thousands of SNPs from hundreds of samples. This enables us genomic prediction of breeding values for economically important traits not only for livestock and plants but also for aquaculture species. In this article, we review six empirical studies on genomic prediction in aquaculture. Implementation of genomic selection for aquaculture is steadily progressing with no doubt, and we will see the tangible and practical outcomes of genomic selection within several years. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
