| 内容記述 | An experimental system for the direct measurement of the ventilation volume in the ascidian, Halocynthia roretzi, was newly developed. Actually, in the measured results under normoxic condition and at 14.0±0.1℃, the ventilation volume showed 1.57±0.52 l/min/kg wet weight and 13.03 ±4.61 l/min/kg dry weight, the amount of oxygen uptake was 0.393±0.092 ml/min/kg wet weight and 3.22±0.61 ml/min/kg dry weight, and the oxygen utilization was 4.6±1.7 %. The water volume expired from the atrial aperture by squirting was 45.3±21.6 ml/stroke/ind, and the time during the squirting was 11.1±5.6 sec. | |||||
