| 内容記述 | The spot-rotting disease of unknown origin that is called "Anaaki-sho" has frequently caused heavy damage to the cultivation of Undaria on the northeastern coast of Honshu which is the main site of its cultivation in Japan. The present paper reports the discovery of parasitic bacteria in the diseased thalli of Undaria collected from field cultures, and also in that of thalli injured by disease induced in vitro. The bacteria which enter the medulla, through openings like dead mucilage glands, dissolve the medullary cells and cell walls, and then inflict ultrastructural damage to important cell organs of cortical and epidermal cells while propagating themselves. The most remarkable ultrastructural change which occurs in the process of rotting, is vacuolation originating in the dictyosome. The result of inactivation of these cell organs, is the death of cell and the disease becomes apparent in the thalli. | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | 養殖漁場にて採取したワカメあなあき症個体および細菌接種による実験的発症個体について 電子顕微鏡により観察した結果,葉体髄組織内において細菌の寄生が確認された.これら細菌は髄組織内の細胞壁を分解するとともに表層および皮層細胞内諸微小器官に影響を与え,その結果あなあき症障害をひき起すことが明らかとなった. | |||||||||||
