| 内容記述 | The effects of intensity of underwater illumination on vertical movements of larvae and juveniles of a red sea bream, Chrysophrys major, were studied in laboratory experiments. In the tank with a suspension of blue-black ink in sea water, the vertical movements of the animals were observed under diffuse light conditions. The majority of larvae 5-7 mm of total length was found in the upper part of 1600-2200 lux of the vertical tank. But, the greater part of juveniles 13-15 mm of total length which move to the bottom of the sea was detected at the lower part of 70-140 lux in light intensity. The majority of the juveniles 19-21 mm of total length moves toward the upper or lower parts of the column at reduced light intensities of 70-130 lux. | |||||

| 内容記述 | インク溶液を加えて消散係数3.4に調整した水槽に直上光を当てて,鉛直的に水中照度を変化させた円筒型水槽を用いて,マダイ Chrysophrys major の稚仔魚の鉛直分布に及ぼす水中照度の影響を調べた。1. マダイ稚仔魚の鉛直移動に及ぼす水中照度の影響は,発育段階で大きく異なり,全長5~7mm の後期仔魚の多くは,水面近くの最も明るい照度 1600~2200 ルクスの層に分布するが,自然海域において表層から海底へ移行し始める全長13~15mmの稚魚になると,大部分の個体は照度200ルクス以下の比較的暗い照度の層に分布するようになる。この傾向は,全長19~21mmの稚魚期半ばになると,より顕著になり,稚魚の大半は照度 70~130ルクスの範囲の層に移動しほぼ安定した状態で定位する。2. 実験水槽の直上光の照度が高く,水面下0~10cm層が1600~2200 ルクスの場合,全長19~21 mm の稚魚の大半が,最下層の照度70~100ルクスの層に分布していたものを,直上光の照度を低くして水槽内照度を下げると,大部分の個体は水面下0~10cmの表層の92~130ルクスの照度層に移動し,稚魚は好適な照度を求めて,下層から上層へ鉛直移動した。 | |||||
