| 内容記述 | To know the appropriate parameter for physiological condition of the fish exposed to acidic water, plasma sodium levels, gill Na⁺, K⁺-ATPase activity, plasma cortisol levels, and plasma immunoglobulin M (IgM) levels were examined in rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss. Exposure to acidic water decreased plasma sodium levels of the trout in dose-depending manner, and Na⁺, K⁺-ATPase activity showed a transient increase only at pH 4.0. Regression analysis showed a significant positive relationship between environmental pH and plasma sodium levels. At pH 4.5, there was a decrease in plasma sodium and an increase in plasma cortisol levels, while plasma IgM levels did not show significant change. These results suggest that plasma sodium level is usable as a parameter to know physiological condition of fish which was exposed to acidic water. | |||||
