| 内容記述 | 1) 真珠層を分泌している真珠袋組織についてトルイジンブルー染色により粘液物質の行動を追跡した。 2) 真珠袋上皮の基底部の結合組織中にある粘液細胞はメタクロマジー物質を真珠袋内に分泌する。分泌と同人に果粒状の物質は粘液となる。粘液層は真珠層の前駆物質と考えられる。 |

| 内容記述 | The observations on the behavior of the metachromatic substance of pearl-sac tissues were carried out on the sectioned material stained with toluidine blue. Mucous granules, showing remarkable metachromasia, were formed in the mucous cells lccated in basement connective tissue of the pearl-sac epithelium. These mucous granules were secreted into the space surrounded by pearl-sac epithelium where the nacre is formed. Just after secretion, they become fluid and spread over the epithelial surface (figs. 1-4). Our observations further show that the metachromatic substance derived from mucous cells is incorporated directly into calcified nacreous layer. | |||||
